Feb. 4, 1:04 a.m., Alonza Jamal Hunter, 23, of 6470 Winters Road, Middlesex, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, firing into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a felon. On Monday, Feb. 7, he was charged with first-degree murder after a Feb. 3 shooting on Shepard School Road.

Feb. 4, 1:04 a.m., Jomiya Gabrielle Beckwith, 19, of 1225 Pampas Trail, Zebulon, was arrested as a suspected accomplice to a Feb. 3 shooting on Shepard School Road and on Monday, Feb. 7, was charged with first degree murder.

Feb. 3, 7:24 p.m., Doretha Clemons of Vance Street reported the possession of a firearm by a felon. Someone at the residence had a gun, reports indicated.
