Tracksters place well in NCAA

Former Greater Neuse River prep hurdlers Ronnie Ash, Booker Nunley, and Johnny Dutch all claimed All-America honors at this past weekend's NCAA Indoor National Championships.

Ash, a junior from Knightdale and ran his first two years at Bethune-Cookman, won the race representing Oklahoma. Nunley, a sophomore who ran at Garner, set a personal record to finish second, just .02 back. Dutch, a junior who ran at Clayton and had a very limited indoor season, finished sixth in claiming All-America for the second year in a row after he finished third last season.
