Church dinner

Table of Grace dinner is held the last Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Wendell United Methodist Church. There is no charge for dinner. Word of Grace services are held each Monday night at 7 p.m. Dress is casual.

Tutorials offered

Beavers Chapel and Hand of God Ministries offer tutorials for all age groups and grade levels every Tuesday evening from 7-8 at Beavers Chapel, 701 Proctor St., Zebulon. All children are welcome. More volunteer tutors are needed. For more information, call 269-9818.

Food pantry

Glory Cloud and Fire Ministries operates a food pantry along with government commodities TFAP every third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. For emergency food assistance, call the church at 269-5830 for an appointment.

Knightdale Church of God offers a free bread ministry every Monday from 11 a.m.-noon. The church is at 4272 Old Faison Road, Knightdale.

Knitting circle

The knitting circle at Knightdale United Methodist will meet the first Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. Participants can learn to knit or crochet. The church is at 7071 Forestville Road. Call 266-2373 for childcare.

Singles Group

Singles Leaning on Christ is a singles Bible study group for ages 21 and up. The group meets the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 7 p.m. at Pearce Baptist Church, 4634 Pearces Road, Zebulon. For more information, e-mail Karen Orndorff at k_orndorff@msn.com or call 269-9768.

Fundraisers

Vision Baptist Church will hold a pancake breakfast from 7-10 a.m. March 6 at Applebee's in Knightdale. Cost is $7. Proceeds will benefit the church's Building Fund.

Wendell United Methodist Church's Men's Fellowship will hold a sausage and pancake supper from 5-8 p.m. March 5. Adult tickets are $6 and children's tickets are $4. Call the church office at 365-6266 to order tickets. Walk-ins are welcome.

The youth of Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church are selling take-out chicken plates on Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $7 per plate and proceeds will be used to defray costs of summer camp.

Mother

networking

MOPS, Mothers of Pre-Schoolers, holds its monthly meeting March 11 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Green Pines Baptist Church, 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale.

Retreat

Baptist Tabernacle Church, 1599 N.C. 231, Wendell, will hold a one-day retreat March 20 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to help people deal with the battles of every day life. Admission is free, but an offering will be taken up to benefit Hospice of Wake County. The event is for anyone 12 years of age or older. Call the church office at 365-5558 to register.

English classes

Green Pines Baptist Church will offer free English classes each Wednesday beginning tonight at 6:15. Childcare is available. The church is at 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale.

Relay for Life

The Wendell Baptist and Friends Relay team is selling bags of peanuts during the month of March. Moe's Restaurant in Knightdale will give part of its proceeds to the East Wake Relay for Life from meals sold March 6 from 5-10 p.m.
