Wake County will open four H1N1 vaccination clinics to people in priority groups on tomorrow (Wednesday) from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at four locations in Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina, Wake Forest and Zebulon. The clinics will offer the nasal spray vaccine to people who are eligible to receive it within the priority groups. The injectable form of the H1N1 vaccine will be available to people who cannot receive the nasal spray vaccine within the priority groups. The following people are eligible to receive the nasal spray: healthy children ages 2 to 24, Household contacts and caregivers, ages 25 to 49, for children younger than 2 years of age and healthcare and emergency medical services personnel who will be in contact with high-risk groups.

The following people are eligible to receive the injectable vaccine: pregnant women, children ages 6 month to 2 years old, and anyone ages 2 to 64 with chronic medical conditions or a weakened immune system In Zebulon, the vaccines will be available at the Eastern Regional Center, 1002 Dogwood Drive. People living in Wake County can get more information about H1N1 flu and seasonal flu by visiting www.wakegov.com/flu or calling 212-7000.
