Church dinner

Table of Grace dinner is held the last Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Wendell United Methodist Church. There is no charge for dinner. Word of Grace services are held each Monday night at 7 pm. Dress is casual.

Thanksgiving meal

Shiloh Temple Cathedral of Deliverance will host a Thanksgiving meal Nov. 26 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church at 445 Old Wilson Road, Wendell.

Wendell Baptist Church will host its second annual Loaves and Fishes community Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 26 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The meal is free. Reserve a seat by calling Tracey at 365-6911.

Northside Community Church will partner with Circus Family Restaurant to prepare 500 meals for the hungry on Thanksgiving Day. Meals will be served at Circus Family Restaurant beginning at 11:30 a.m. Meals will also be delivered. The restaurant is at 1600 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Pancake supper

The Wendell United Methodist Church men will serve and all-you-can-eat supper Nov. 20 from 5-8 p.m. at the church on Main Street, Wendell. Tickets cost $6 for adults, $4 for children.

Turkey shoot

Clyde's Chapel Baptist Church will host a series of turkey and ham shoots Nov. 20-21 from 7-8:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per shot. Concessions will be available. Proceeds go toward the church's Relay For Life team and World Changers youth mission project. Other dates are Nov. 27-28 and Dec. 3-4. Operation

Christmas Child

Wendell Baptist Church is serving as a local drop-off site for the National Drop Off Week for Operation Christmas Child. The church will accept donated items daily until Nov. 23. Hours vary. Call 365-4631 to check the hours on the day you wish to donate items. The church is at 3651 Wendell Boulevard.

Tutorials offered

Beavers Chapel and Hand of God Ministries offer tutorials for all age groups and grade levels every Tuesday evening from 7-8 at Beavers Chapel, 701 Proctor St., Zebulon. All children are welcome. More volunteer tutors are needed. For more information, call 269-9818.

Bake sale

The Knightdale United Methodist Church women will host a bake sale Nov. 21 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the annex of the old church building, 621 First Ave. Proceeds will benefit mission projects.

Food pantry

Glory Cloud and Fire Ministries operates a food pantry the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. For emergency food assistance, call the church at 269-5830 for an appointment.

Knightdale Church of God offers a free bread ministry every Monday from 11 a.m.-noon. The church is at 4272 Old Faison Road, Knightdale.

Knitting circle

The knitting circle at Knightdale Baptist Church meets the first and third Sundays of the month at 3 p.m.

Singles group meets

Recovery program

Bethany Baptist Church will hold a program called Celebrate Recovery for alcoholics, addicts or people with any other personal problem. Meetings will be held Thursday nights from 6:30-9 p.m. at the church at 3417 Rolesville Road. Call 266-3673 for more information.

Brunswick stew sale

The Knightdale United Methodist men host their Brunswick stew sale Nov. 21 at the site of the old church building, 621 First Ave. beginning at 11 a.m. Cost is $6 per quart for pre-paid orders and $7 for orders paid at pickup. Order online at www.knightdaleumc.org or call 266-2373.

Christmas bazaar

Fall bazaar

White Oak Baptist Church will host its annual bazaar Nov. 20 beginning with dinner at 6 p.m. In addition to a meal, visitors may purchase baked goods and take part in a silent auction. The church is at 13943 Buffalo Road in Archer Lodge.

Music conference

The National Collegiate Music Conference will be Nov. 20-21 at Wake Chapel Church, 4209 Bland Road, Raleigh. Among the featured performers will be the St. John United Holiness Church youth department. The conference is organized by Zebulon native Desi. L. Campbell.

Special program

The Pilot Missionary Baptist Church of Zebulon will present "God's Rainbow of Colors", sponsored by the Helping Hand Mission, on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. The public is invited to worship and enjoy the rainbow-color foods to be served after the program.
