Library Storytimes

The Wendell Library hosts story time for pre-schoolers every Wednesday at 10 a.m. The branch also offers a reading program for families and children of all ages every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

The East Regional Library in Knightdale holds story time for babies (18 months and younger) at 10 a.m., for toddlers (18 months-3 years) at 10:30, and for pre-schoolers (3-5 years) at 11:15. The Zebulon Library conducts a story time for preschoolers at 10:30 a.m.

Craft-making

From 2:45-4:45p.m., kids can make a craft at the Zebulon Library and check out a book to take home.

JobLink Clinic

The Zebulon library is sponsoring a JobLink clinic from 1-4 p.m. Job specialist Lavonne Hill is available to discuss job related needs.

Lunch & Learn

Join the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce for a Lunch & Learn Seminar entitled "Selling in a Tough Economy (NFL Style)"" presented by Jim Joyce of Sales Partners, Inc. from noon to 1:30 p.m.. The seminar will be held at the Chamber, 207 Main Street. Registration is required online at www.knightdalechamber.org or call 266-4603. Cost is $10, members, $20 nonmembers.

Computer Class

The Wendell Library will hold a comuter class on e-mailing at 9 a.m.

Seniors Book Club

The Seniors Book Club will be held at 10 a.m. at the Zebulon Library, discussing "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. New members are welcome.

Business After Hours

A Business After Hours/Chamber Night will be hosted byThe Pineville Club,120 Flowers Pkwy, Clayton from 5 to 7 pm for the Knightdale, Clayton, and Cleveland Chambers of Commerce. Featuring: Wine Tasting Event by Chatham Hills Winery, Free Chair Massages, Kids Club will be open, sample the Eminence Spa Skin Care, tour the Pineville Club's State of the Art Spa & Fitness Facility. Movie night

The Zebulon Community Center will host a family movie night from 7 to 9 p.m. The movie will be "The Game Plan" and it is free. Popcorn will be served. A parent or guardian must be present for all children.

Diabetes Display Booth

Get your questions about diabetes answered at a Diabetes Display Booth at the Eastern Regional Center in Zebulon from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. November is Diabetes Awareness month. The ERC is located at 1002 Dogwood Drive.

Storytime

The East Regional Library in Knightdale holds family story time for toddlers and preschoolers at 10:30 a.m.

Farmer's Market

The Wendell Farmer's Market is open Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the corner of Third and Cypress Streets beside the Wendell Woman's Club.

Pancake breakfast

A pancake breakfast will be held from 8-11 a.m. at the Wendell Senior Center, 322 Lake Drive.

Price is $5 for adults, $3 for children for all-you-can eat pancakes, plus a choice of bacon or sausage, with orange juice, milk or coffee.

Book discussion

The Zebulon Library's Evening Book Club discusses The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver at 7 p.m. New members are welcome.Children's activities.

Craft program

The Zebulon Public Library offers a craft program for children after school from 2:45-4:45 p.m. Children can make crafts and check out books. At 6:30 p.m., the library is offering "See Spot Read," a program where trained dogs and adult volunteers are available while children read to the animal.

Tween Book Club

At Zebulon Library, 4:30 p.m.. the teen book club discusses "Life as We Knew It" by Susan Beth Pfeffer. The club is for readers in sixth grade and up. Check out the book ahead of time.

Fundraiser

The P.T.S.A. of East Wake High School's School of Engineering Systems is having a fundraiser at Sonic in Zebulon on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 5-8 p.m. Sonic will donate 10 percent of all sales during these hours. The P.T.S.A. is raising money for its scholarship fund, hoping to give a scholarship out at the end of this school year. Private and corporate donations will be gladly accepted.
