KNIGHTDALE - Knightdale police are looking for a Raleigh man whom they believe assaulted his ex-girlfriend in the Target parking lot off Knightdale Boulevard.

Knightdale Police Chief Shawn Brown said police have tried several times to serve Mullah X, 48, of 5141 Person Street, Raleigh, a warrant for assault on a female.

"We've been over a couple of times since attempting to serve the warrant," he said. "Either he wasn't home or didn't want to come out or doesn't reside there anymore. We haven't been able to make any contact at the residence there."

The offense was reported Oct. 22. A woman said at about 11:30 that morning, X tried to get her to go home with him and she refused, Brown said. The woman told police X grabbed her upper arm and pushed her to the ground. She was treated for minor injuries by EMS in the Target parking lot.
