The Teacher Excellence Award (TEA) was presented to Lake Myra Elementary School teacher Jane Smothers at the October Business After Hours co-hosted by Parker Monuments, Knightdale Florist and Domino’s Pizza. Smothers was awarded a $100 gift card and a plaque co-sponsored by Duke Raleigh Hospital along with the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce. The TEA is presented monthly by the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce to honor a very deserving teacher in appreciation of love and dedication to the children of the Knightdale area.
