Library Storytimes

The Wendell Library hosts story time for pre-schoolers every Wednesday at 10 a.m. The branch also offers a reading program for families and children of all ages every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

The East Regional Library in Knightdale holds story time for babies (18 months and younger) at 10 a.m., for toddlers (18 months-3 years) at 10:30, and for pre-schoolers (3-5 years) at 11:15. The Zebulon Library conducts a story time for preschoolers at 10:30 a.m.

Knightdale Chamber of Commerce networking event

Knightdale Chamber of Commerce AM Network will be hosted by Knightdale Family Medicine, 6905 Knightdale Blvd., Knightdale from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Come enjoy bagels, fruit, and pastries and give your 30-second commercial about your business. Craft-making

From 2:45 to 4:45p.m., kids can make a craft at the Zebulon Library and check out a book to take home.

JobLink Clinic

The Zebulon library is also sponsoring a JobLink Clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. Job specialist Lavonne Hill is available to discuss job related needs.

Barbecue

American Legion Post 13. Wilson, next to the fairgrounds on U.S. 301, is selling half-chicken barbecue plates with all the fixings 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Take out only.

Friday

Business meeting with Knightdale Mayor

Knightdale Mayor Russell Killen will meet with the local business community about concerns, needs and desires from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The meeting will be held at Knightdale Town Hall, 950 Steeple Square Court. Reservations are required by registering online at www.knightdalechamber.org or by calling Jennifer Bryan at the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce at 266-4603.

The East Regional Library in Knightdale holds family story time for toddlers and preschoolers at 10:30 a.m.

Farmer's Market

The Wendell Farmer's Market is open Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the corner of Third and Cypress Streets beside the Wendell Woman's Club.

Crafts Fair

The Zebulon Lion Club Auxiliary will host a crafts fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Zebulon Lions Club Building, East Lee Street. Various craftsmen and craftswomen will be displaying their works. Zebulon Lions club members will be serving ham biscuits, hotdogs, drinks and baked goods.

Book discussion

The Zebulon Library's Evening Book Club discusses The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver at 7 p.m. New members are welcome.

Tuesday

Children's activities

The Zebulon Public Library offers a craft program for children after school from 2:45:4:45 p.m.

Children can make crafts and check out books. At 6:30 p.m., the library is offering "See Spot Read," a program where trained dogs and adult volunteers are available while children read to the animal
