WENDELL - The town recently received construction authorization for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration for the construction of two crosswalks at Third and Main Streets.

A grant of $52,000 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was awarded for the projects.

The crosswalks will involve curb cuts at the corners of Main and Third and will be constructed with either stamped asphalt or concrete.
