A native of Wendell, he was the son of the late Jethro and Edith Lovelace. He was the founder of The Greystone Inn in Lake Toxaway.

Survivors include his wife, Boo Boo Lovelace; two daughters, Hope Cushman and her husband David and Heather Suddreth and her husband Geoffrey; one son, Clark Lovelace; one brother, Jerry Lovelace; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at Jubilee! Community Church.
