I wanted to write and let you know that I think you hit the nail on the head with your editorial on the school board's magnet decision.

I have long thought that the magnet program creates a system of have and have-not schools. I also agree with your assessment that this decision would make "healthy schools" but not healthy students.

Thanks for bringing this issue to light for all of those who cannot follow the actions of the school board and the growth staff as closely as they should be followed.

Also, thanks for putting out a great paper for eastern Wake County.
