The Sept. 16 Eastern Wake News article about Knightdale's finance director may have given readers an incorrect impression about former finance employee Donna Moore. As Town Manager of Knightdale, I was disappointed when Donna announced her resignation from the town's employ after eight years of excellent service in our Finance Department.

Her position was recently upgraded from part to full time and Donna declined our offer of the full time staff position due to her desire not to sacrifice time otherwise spent with her family.

The town wishes Donna well in her future endeavors.
