In each individual round, golfers in the six age groups are awarded points for how their score placed within their respective age group. The top four scores receive team points of 4 1/2 – 1 1/2, from best to worst, and scores that follow the top four receive 1/2 a point each.

Last week at Zebulon Country Club, Zebulon finished in third place behind Birchwood and Peachtree Hills, accumulating 12 team points. Wendell fell one step closer to Cardinal Country Club in the season standings, coming in last place at the Zebulon-hosted event with six team points.

The teams competed in the final match of the summer season Monday, Aug. 3. Results were not available at press time.
